How do I cancel WGU Academy? ›

Students may cancel their purchase of their initial term access and receive a refund of the associated payment made to WGU Academy by providing written notification to Student Support at support@academy.wgu.edu within seven (7) days of initial purchase.

After you complete your course or certificate, you are guaranteed admission to WGU and your credits will transfer.

While WGU's flat-rate tuition covers a full 6-month term and is paid upfront, WGU Academy's flat rate tuition is based on the courses you choose and how long you'll need to complete them.

A failed payment will terminate your payment plan if payment is not received in full within fourteen (14) calendar days, in which case the full amount of your balance will be immediately due. WGU may refer your account to an external collection agency and take necessary legal action to collect any amounts due.

If you no longer wish to be a myAcademy member, you can opt out of myAcademy by deleting your account. If you require further assistance, you may contact Academy Customer Care at 1-888-922-2336. If you opt out of myAcademy, any accumulated benefits will be deleted and you may not have access to other benefits.

Students with a withdrawal date that occurs up through the completion of 60% of a term are eligible for a refund of a prorated portion of the tuition and library fee. Students with a withdrawal date that occurs after 60% of the term has been completed are not eligible for a refund.
