This recipe is my favourite for the last several years!!! And now i’ve memorised it as the 3-2-1 recipe (3 cups of the sugar, 2 tbsp vinegar & 1 cup water) as I always double up on da syrup between batches. Love that ingredients are super easy to remember (as well as method) and I always use Granny Smith apples as syrup glides super smooth when coating (less of the ugly bubbles compared to other types of apples). It’s delicious and my family love it and it’s my go-to for school fundraisers, it’s great!!!

I loved this :) I modified the recipe and added some lemon juice for some flavor :) it was delicious! I know this recipe was for toffee apples, but instead I put the toffee in cupcake holders to set :) it worked really well, definitely reccommend!

Awesome. TIP - I was a bit slow on the apple coating and it was getting thicker, so I put back on the heat for a tiny bit more and thinned it out so that I could do more. Thanks

Great recipe! Simple ingredients, clear instructions and very easy. I cut the apples into quarters and drizzled the toffee over the skin side, the end product was delicious. Will definitely be using this recipe again.

I have never made toffee apples, so after much pestering from my 10 & 9yr olds we had a go. This recipe was FANTASTIC!!! Like comments above I had to boil for a few minutes more than stated but it was soooooo easy and a wonderful result. To try and avoid sticking I used lightly greased (cooking oil) foil paper and put the toffee apples in the freezer, it worked a treat!

I have tried many recipies for toffee apples and this one is the best! I spray a tray with canola oil and they never ever stick. I always double the toffee amount too so its easier to coat, so there is more toffee to dip into. Also i dont think the timing is right either, even if i havent double the toffee amount, it still needs longer, but i guess eveyones stoves are different. But a great recipie! :-)

Great recipie. I used tin foil to rest the apples on, waited till they had cooled complety then I pealed them off easily.

It was HORRIBLE! the only reason i gave it a 10 was so that i could get my post up. Toffee turned out burned, pretty much impossible to clean utensils used. Do not use this recipe as it is Uselless.

hey thanks for the recipe im only 13 but today we had toffee apples for sale at school and i really wanted to try to make some for myself and it works pefectly the only thing i didnt have was food colouring so i put in vanilla essence it takes away the smell of vinegar and it smells and tastes GREAT thanks xx

These were awesome! Karen, an easy way to stop these from sticking is to use that spray nonstick stuff they have everywhere. Just put a bit on the paper or straight on the tray. Mine came off like a dream. I didn't even have to scrub a thing! hope this helps.

Great recipe, my 8 year old son and I have made these three times now, and they are so yummy - toffee comes out perfectly. Only thing is - I cannot figure out the trick to stop them sticking to the surface I put them on. Greaseproof paper was hopeless, the paper stuck to the toffee, any ideas anyone? Also mine went all sticky the next day - is there a trick to this?

I love these Apples, I'm not much of a cook but made these for the kids at Xmas and they were very simple to make and the Kids loved them. I actually made some green ones with green apples and green colouring as well for Xtra Xmas pleasure...10/10
