THE PERFECT EGGNOG RECIPE

6 eggs, separated
3/4 cup white sugar, divided
1/2 to 1 pint brandy (or whiskey)
1 ounce rum (optional)
1 pint whole milk
1 pint heavy whipped cream

Beat the yolks separately and add 1/2 cup sugar while beating. Beat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is thick; set aside.

Beat the egg whites separately and add 1/4 cup sugar after they have been beaten very stiff. Mix the egg yolks and egg whites together. Stir in the heavy cream and whole milk. Then add brandy (or whiskey) and the ounce of rum. Stir thoroughly and servevery coldwith grated nutmeg on top of each glass.

6 scoopshomemade vanilla ice cream
3 – 5 oz brandy
3 oz cream de coco

This is my favorite Christmas drink recipe. I only use brandy (Wisconsin girl), but you can use whiskey too. Rum is optional.

You should make this and try it with friends and family. It really warms you up (in agoodkind of way).

HOLIDAYTOM AND JERRY’S

Tom and Jerry Mix

6 eggs, separated
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp allspice (optional)

Beat the egg yolks until light yellow in color. Add the vanilla, powdered sugar and allspice. Beat until very stiff.

In another bowl, beat egg whites until very stiff (like for angel food cake) and add to the egg yolk mixture. Beat mixture adding more powdered sugar (1/4 to 1/2 cup) until batter is very stiff. Chill mixture overnight.|

Tom and Jerry Drink

hot water
1 ounce Brandy or Whiskey
1/2 ounce Rum (optional)
Tom and Jerry Mix (recipe above)

When ready to serve, put a pot of water on and bring to a boil and set on a burner on low. Pour 1 ounce(or according to your taste buds)of brandy or whiskey and 1/2 ounce rum in a coffee mug and fill 3/4 full of hot water. Add a big dollop of Tom and Jerry mix on top and stir. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.

MOM’S BUCKET BRANDY SLUSH

9-1/2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
4 green tea bags

Bring all of the above ingredients to a boil and let boil for five minutes. Cool slightly.

THEN ADD:
3 cups of brandy
12 oz can of frozen lemonade concentrate
12 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate

7 –up or Squirt

When ready to freeze, Mom always used a empty ice cream bucket and poured it in there to freeze – worked like a charm. When ready to serve, put desired amount of the frozen mixture into and glass and top off with the 7-Up or Squirt.

HOMEMADE KAHLUA (Coffee Liqueur)

2 oz instant espresso coffee powder
3-1/2 cups white sugar
2 cups water, boiling
1 pint of Korbel brandy
1 whole vanilla bean

Mix the coffee and sugar together. Add the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Let this cool. After it has cooled, add the brandy and pour into the bottles you want to keep it in. Split the vanilla bean into four pieces and add to the liqueur. Close bottles tightly and keep in acool dark place for 30 days.

White Russian

1 shot of kahlua
1/4 cup cream or half-and-half

You can make these in any size, but make sure you have more cream than kahlua. It is better on the rocks (with ice).

BAILEYS IRISH CREAM RECIPE

1 cup heavy cream
1-3/4 cupsweetened condensed milk1-2/3 cups Irish whiskey
1 tsp instant coffee granules
2 TBS chocolate syrup
1 tsppure vanilla extract1/2 tsp pure almond extract


In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend on high for 20 seconds. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator. Will keep for two months. Enjoy every drop!
